  • 1 to 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes or mid-section)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cooking sake (or rice apple vinegar)
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (for glaze)
  • 1 scallion (cut into strips)
  • 3 dashes black pepper powder
  • 2 inch ginger (peeled and coarsely diced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • white sesame

Instructions

  1. Clean chicken wings under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine marinade ingredients with the wings; let marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Bake wings for 10 minutes, brush on half of the glaze, then bake for another 10 minutes.
  5. Apply remaining glaze and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until browned.
