  • 1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets (2 sheets)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut rounds to fit your muffin tin cups, pressing them in gently.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and sugar until dissolved. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract, then slowly add this mixture to the warm milk while stirring continuously.
  4. Pour the custard mixture into each pastry-lined cup, filling them about three-quarters full.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
