  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (170g, melted)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (120mL)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (120mL, warm)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg whites one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and sour cream. Gradually mix in warm milk.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
