Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into about 8 pieces)
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (whisked)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with aluminum foil and greasing it lightly.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together unsalted butter and chopped dark chocolate until smooth. Let cool slightly before mixing in granulated sugar and whisked eggs. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan evenly. Gently layer the pumpkin mixture on top and smooth it out. Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
